This Privacy Policy applies to the ReviewReply AI Google Chrome browser extension ("the Extension", "we", "our"). It explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how it is stored, and who it is shared with.

      Plain-English Summary: The only content we process is the text of the Google Review you are currently looking at — and only to generate an AI reply for you. We do not collect your personal details, store your data on our servers, or share your data with advertisers.
    

2. What Data We Collect

The Extension collects and processes only the following data:

✅ We do NOT collect: your name, email address (unless you enter it for licence activation), home address, payment card details, full browsing history, search queries, device location, or any personal information beyond what is listed above.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use the data described above only for these specific purposes:

Generating AI Replies: Review text is sent via HTTPS to our secure Cloudflare Worker proxy, which forwards it to the OpenAI API. The text is used solely to generate a reply and is not stored by us after the response is returned.
Licence Verification: If you activate a paid plan, your licence key or email is checked in real-time against Gumroad's API. We do not retain this information on our servers after the verification request completes.
Plan Enforcement: Your plan type and reply count are stored in chrome.storage.local — local to your browser — to track usage and enforce limits. This data is never transmitted to us.

4. How We Store Your Data

Locally on your device (chrome.storage.local): Plan type, plan status, and reply count are stored in your browser's local storage. This data does not leave your device.
In transit (temporary): Review text passes over an encrypted HTTPS connection to our Cloudflare Worker proxy and then to OpenAI. It is not logged or stored by our proxy once the AI reply is returned to you.
Licence keys / emails: Verified in real-time against Gumroad and not retained by us after the check completes.

5. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We only share data with the following third-party services, and only to the minimum extent required:

6. Data Retention

Review text: Not retained. Processed in real-time and discarded once the AI reply is returned.
Licence key / email: Not retained on our servers after verification completes.
Local storage data (plan type, reply count): Retained on your device until you uninstall the Extension or manually clear browser storage.

7. Your Rights and Choices

Because we do not store personal data on our own servers, there is no account to delete. However:

Remove all local data: Uninstalling the Extension from Chrome removes all locally stored data from your device.
Opt out at any time: Go to chrome://extensions and remove ReviewReply AI.

8. Children's Privacy

ReviewReply AI is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through the Extension, contact us and we will delete it immediately.

9. Security

All data transmitted by the Extension is sent over encrypted HTTPS connections. Our Cloudflare Worker proxy acts as a secure intermediary so your OpenAI API key is never exposed in the browser. We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, though no internet transmission is 100% guaranteed to be secure.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Extension after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
